Dr. S.S. Manchanda Neonatology Research Gold Medal Award for paper entitled “Antenatal Doppler Velocimetry in Fetal Growth Restriction” presented at 40th National Conference of Indian Academy of Pediatrics held in Mumbai in January 2003

2004

  • Department of Neonatology is recognized as the “Collaborative Center for Facility Based Newborn Care” under National Reproductive and Child Health Program of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India supported by Norway India Partnership Initiative (NIPI) & UNICEF
  • Ruchi Nanavati certified as International Board Lactation Consultant from 2010 to 2015.
  • Ruchi Nanavati invited by Board of Governors, MCI as a member of the reconstituted Board of Specialty in Neonatology for drafting / updating the curriculum for DM Courses in the specialty of Neonatology.
  • Rekha Samant, Senior Staff Nurse has been awarded Neonatal Nursing Excellence Award 2010 by Save The Children USA & 7th International Conference of Neonatal Nursing 2010 (ICNN). Award ceremony was organized in Durban, South Africa on 24th October 2010.

  • Initiation of Bailey Scale of Infant Development (BSID) III for neurodevelopmental assessment of NICU graduates during follow up
  • Initiation of hearing screen for all NICU graduates
