REQUIREMENTS FOR UMMS STUDENTS TO SIGN UP FOR AN ELECTIVE ROTATION AT G. S. MEDICAL COLLEGE AND K. E. M. HOSPITAL, MUMBAI, INDIA
1. Read the general instruction here
2. The application (Proforma A) is available here.
3. Print out and complete the required forms and payments and let me review everything with you before they are sent out to GSMC.
4. Make two copies of all the forms and documents.
5. The "UMMS – GSMC STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM" has collected funds from various donors and you will be able to receive a scholarship.
6. Make sure you have a valid passport and visa (you will need a student’s visa) to go to India . Visa to India can be obtained from this site: www.indiacgny.org
7. Go to the “Travel Clinic” at UMMS at least six weeks before your departure date to get all your vaccinations and prophylaxis. CDC requirements are constantly changing.
