Course
Details - Introducing the therapists
to scientific basis of sensory integration theory including clinical assessment
and treatment principles. Identify sensory integration dysfunctions in children,
plan and administer the treatment program. Also the therapist would be able to
orient the patient's caregiver regarding the patient's sensory problems and suggest
domiciliary treatment program for the same. Overview of the sensory systems
and their interplay, identification of dysfunctions, clinical reasoning, use of
appropriate treatment modalities-with special reference to autism, attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder etc. Timing of the course - April

Duration of the course - Four
days Eligibility - Graduate occupational
therapists from world federation recognized institutes (preferably with pediatric
experience.) Evaluation -
By observation and a problem solving exercise. A certificate is provided on completion
