Help with monsoon Illnesses
About 50-100 units of platelet concentrate are received once in 3 days from outside blood banks within the state like Arpan Blood bank, Nasik, Prathma Blood Centre, Ahmedabad and from Pune through the efforts of State Blood Transfusion Council in order to tide over the increasing requirement for patients suffering from monsoon illnesses. These are issued free of cost to patients admitted in KEMH as well as other municipal and government hospitals.
