Laboratory Facilities

State of Art Pulmonary Function Laboratory with Facilities for :

Diffusion studies, assessment of residual volume by Helium dilution method.

Residual volume measurement, & compliance measurement by Body Plethysmography.

Cardiopulmonary exercise testing.

Bronchoprovocation test.

Meticulous records maintained for last 10 years which help in serial follow up of patients.

Arterial Blood Gas analysis laboratory with 3 blood analysers catering to Blood gas analysis for entire hospital and as well as reference samples of other hospitals (bo-oximetry also done here.

Bronchoscopy with Video Monitor :

Three Flexible Adult, Fibre optic bronchoscopes (FOB) & one Flexible paediatric bronchoscope. We provide bronchoscopic services on Wednesday and Friday morning. We also perform Broncho-Alveolar Lavage, which are analysed by trained Cytologist in cardiovascular Thoracic pathology department. We also impart training in Fibreoptic Bronchoscopy for those wishing to gain this experience.
