Welcome to the Department of Dentistry. The department was established in 1925.It is the oldest amongst all dental departments of the municipal corporation hospitals.With the availability of the additional infrastructure and manpower,the department has grown in leaps and bounds from only oral examination and extractions to advanced periodontal,conservative,oral surgical and esthetic dentistry;from a humble single room visited by a honorary dental surgeon on three days in a week to a full time specialist and two house-officers.

The staff are selected from the parental municipal hospital [Nair Hospital and Dental College] mainly from the depts. of Conservative Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.
