Department of Nursing
The Department of Nursing is one of the most important ones, as its members are involved in the activities of all departments. The total staff strength is over 1300, and many are involved in various committees of the hospital. The School of Nursing, housed in the stately structure of the Nurse's Hostel since it's inception in 1926, mainly undertakes the education of nursing students and trained staff. It fosters a three years' Undergraduate Nursing Course to which 120 students (after H.S.C.) are admitted annually on an " Earn and Learn " basis.
