Pediatrics Observership: How to join KEM PEDS? The posts of medical staff and senior doctors are filled through BMC periodically whenever such vacancy arises. The advertisements are issued in national dailies and all three municipal medical colleges in Mumbai. Resident pediatricians are selected by Mumbai University or Maharashstra University of Health Sciences for the course of MD or DCH in paediatric medicine. At times some resident doctor posts are filled by through interviews following local advertisements. Apart from above , every year, few students can be permitted to join this department as as observer after completing the preliminary formalities., as below: - Request Appplication to Dean KEM Hospital with a Cc to Head Department of Paediatrics A letter of recommendation/ testimonial/ Bonafide Certificate from the parent university/ College should be submitted. - The tution fees for the period for which the Observership is to be granted, should be paid in advance. - Observers have to arrange themselves for their accomodation. - They will have no role in patient management or hands on clinical experience.
