Department of Paediatric Surgery


The Department of Paediatric Surgery was established in 1967. In 1972, the University of Bombay instituted M.Ch. in Paediatric Surgery and the department was recognised for postgraduate training. The next important landmark, was the start of Intensive Care unit in 1976.
