• 245 patients evaluated till date apart from regular follow up patients having cognitive disorder in association with the Department of Neuropsychology and Occupational therapy.

We are doing on average 100 ictal Video EEG monitoring and 1500-2000 interictal video EEG per year. So far, we have done more than 660 epilepsy surgeries which include temporal lobe surgeries, extratemporal lesionectomy, corpus callosotomy, tailored disconnection surgeries and our results are at par with international standards. This also includes Pediatric cases. This center provides this facility at one of the cheapest rates in the world. 
Neuromodulation facility:
We started recently and successfully performed the first VNS implantation at a government hospital in Western India.
Fellowship training program in Epilepsy:
Affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science. We started and have been running the Epilepsy fellowship program in KEM successfully since 2016. We have two epilepsy fellows intake every year.

Parkinson’s disease and Parkinson plus syndromes are evaluated in this clinic. Other movement disorders like myoclonus , tics , chorea ,dystonia are also being worked up in this clinic.
Cervical dystonia, Blepharospasm, Hemifacial spasm, Writer’s Cramp, Spasticity cases are evaluated and treated with Botulinum Toxin Injections. The cost of the injection is as per the total units required. No charges are taken from the patient for EMG and the procedure.

• Test Development:- Standardization, adaptation and collection of normative data for the Indian population. Ongoing work on a number of test measures, e.g. Boston Naming Test (BNT) and Addenbrooke Cognitive Examination (ACE)

• Workshops with graduate and postgraduate students (Psychology Dept) of all Mumbai Colleges and Dept of Applied Psychology, Kalina.

The research activity is carried out all year round. There are at least three major research projects going on in the department at any given time. The major research projects are generally carried out by the Research Fellows in the department and are supervised by one of the faculty Members. The other research activities are carried out by the resident doctors. All the doctors registered for their post doctoral degree course in Neurology have to complete one research project as a part of their thesis and publish at least two papers in an Indexed Journal. The other research work is published as in the annual conferences of Indian Academy of Neurology and Indian epilepsy society and Neurology society of India.
