Want to be a part of this hospital?

You can join this hospital beginning as a resident or as staff member.

The hierarchy is as follows:

The residencies start twice a year in February and August.

To apply, you have to collect the forms from the college office about a month prior to the commencement of the residency. These forms are not sent by mail.

The residency program is of three years. As a rule, to be a resident you must have admission to one of the graduate courses conducted by the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS). The details of the number of seats available for these courses is available at www.kem.edu/college/courses.htm. Depending on vaccancies and hospital requirements , admissions to DNB courses may be provided to those who have completed two year diploma courses through the MUHS.

Thus if you are admitted (registered) for diploma courses, you automatically get a 2 year residency and similarly a 3 year residency is given to those registered for the degree courses.

From time to time, depending upon the needs of various departments, supernumerary third year residents and occasionally fourth year residents are appointed. Those applying for these posts need not be registered for any post graduate courses and may be doing this simply as an additional experience. As of now, we do not guarantee that these posts will be recognized for the DNB degree. The number of posts advertised six monthly is very variable and you will have to check with the college office about a month prior top the commencement of the residency as the to the vacancies available in this category.

Depending upon the year of residency, residents are paid between Rs.11,000 and Rs.13,000 per month as stipend.
