In June 2005, the Seth GS Medical College was the first to start a regional institute in the world.. The  fifth batch was conducted recently in June 2009, . More than 97 fellows have been participating in this program from all overIndia. A total of 93 educational development projects have been initiated in more than 32 institutions all over the country and 77 have been completed. In 2009, GSMc had fellows from Dubai and Nepal.
